2022 Nordecke Cup – 11/6
Registration is open until 5 pm on 10/31! Check your email for details!
Registration is open to Nordecke members and Nordecke STMs (at least one person per team must be a member). Limit 12 teams.
Once teams and brackets are finalized, participants will receive an email with further information.
Gates open at 11am, tournament kicks off at noon! The Cup will be played on the hallowed pitch of Historic Crew Stadium, with participants playing for a variety of prizes!
In addition to cheering on your fellow supporters, Nordecke members are encouraged attend a blanket-making party, which will benefit Heer to Serve and Camp Shameless.
Throughout the Nordecke Cup, we will have food and beverages on-site for those interested. Only water is allowed on the playing surface.
FAQs
Why is the Nordecke Cup being held so late again?
We, like all of you, would prefer a summer/late fall tourney. However, this year we ran into scheduling conflicts with 1st team, Crew 2, camps and other events. The Nordecke and Crew will work together to get a date on the calendar earlier in 2023.
Why Not Lower.Com Field?
Even though we had hoped to play on the first team field this year, we didn’t anticipate not being able to use Lower.com Field due the grass still settling in. This offseason, we’re looking to have the field get proper rest to prepare for our 2023 MLS season. We will look to work with Grounds Crew to explore hosting a Nordecke Cup at Lower.com in the future.
Why an expanded field of play?
The physical section has grown leaps and bounds this year. We feel that with efforts like these and others, we can bring those who stand in the section into the fold of membership sooner rather than later. This is why we made it open to Nordecke Membership OR Nordecke Season Ticket holders.
