The Nordecke Black Lives Matter Fundraiser
The Nordecke is deeply moved by the issue continued systemic of racism in the United States, with the recent protests we felt it was time to do more than just speak up against these issues but to try and take action. We also wanted to show our support for our players who have and continue to stand up to these injustices. In order to do so we partnered with Supporters Supply to design a T-shirt to not only make our stance clear but help raise money to actually drive change.
We were excited to be joined in this effort by the Columbus Crew SC and its players who wanted to raise awareness for this effort and joint message by wearing the shirts into tonight’s match. Our Captain, Jonathan Mensah, went a step further placing the design and message on his Captain’s Armband.
Today we all truly stand together to do the right thing because we are the Crew, we are the Nordecke, we are massive, and we believe that Black Lives Matter. We will continue to push for change, to seek to grow and be better, today and tomorrow.
